Bad, Bad Birdie!

Guess what my parrot did to my parent's door frame last night when no one was looking. He managed to unlock his cage and this is the result.

In case you can't tell from the pictures, the damage is almost a yard in length. There were woodchips everywhere. I don't know if I should laugh or cry. I think my father did a little of both. The parrot has managed to escape his cage before and chew things but never to this extent. Why oh why couldn't he have done this at MY house instead of my parents? I swear I'm cursed.
At least the parrot had fun.

OH MAN! (I bet those where your dad's words) hehehe! That's aweful ... reminds me of my experience w/ Barkley, the dog I watched for a few days. You've seen the damage ... I should tell you that today, the door frame was repaired and it was not very expensive to fix less than $5 (wow!) ... So ... IT'S OK ... it's just getting it done ... it only took 1/2 months to get around to it but about 1 hr (including going to store).

I had no idea parrots could be so destructive! Makes you look kindly on woodpeckers... :)

I can't believe that they didn't wake up! That bird would be GONE in this house, but we all know how much you love him!
