Fighting Crime with Classical Music

There is some science behind the idea of using music to deter certain types of criminal activity. Like using blue light to deter crime, when used selectively, classical music (as well as some other types of music like soft jazz) can be effective as part of an overall crime prevention strategy. When I worked for the Portland Oregon police we used it successfully on the transit system.
